The Villa Sant'Amico, situated deep in the hearth of the park, is a magnificent country house which has given the name to the local area ( originally called San Domenico). The imposing villa is revealed at the end of a long tree-lined avenue and is built of warm red bricks that complements the fresh greens of the trees that surround it.

The Villa is on 4 floors, including the central lookout, or "belvedere" and a basement. The previous owner of Villa Sant'Amico, an engineer ahead of his time, designed an ingenious and daring central heating system for the house. In order to overcome the problem of heating the numerous and vast rooms (50) within the property, he used hot air fed by wood burning boilers located in the basement of the house to enter the various rooms through vents in the walls. The interiors are decorated with frescoes, carvings and pictorial wall decorations.
